DAY 1
Marrakech → High Atlas → Ait Ben Haddou → Dades Valley
Your 4-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour begins with a morning departure from Marrakech. The route crosses the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka road, with time for scenic stops along the way. You continue toward Ait Ben Haddou before passing through Ouarzazate and the southern landscapes toward Dades Valley.
Overnight: Dades Valley or nearby area, depending on availability and route timing.
DAY 2
Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Erfoud → Merzouga Sahara
After breakfast, the journey continues through the Dades area toward Todra Gorge, known for its high canyon walls and palm-filled surroundings. From there, the route passes through Tinghir, Erfoud and desert towns before reaching Merzouga. Depending on arrival time, you continue by camel or 4x4 toward the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset and the Sahara camp experience.
Overnight: Sahara desert camp in Merzouga.
DAY 3
Merzouga → Rissani → Ziz Valley → Midelt
Wake up early if you would like to see sunrise over the dunes, then return from the camp and continue toward Rissani, Erfoud and the Ziz Valley. This day gives the route more breathing room before heading north toward the Middle Atlas area.
Overnight: Midelt or nearby Middle Atlas area, depending on route timing and availability.
DAY 4
Midelt → Middle Atlas → Ifrane → Fes
